We asked Jan Skovsted about the organisation’s notable projects, its reputation for excellence and its dedication to innovative solutions.
PES: Welcome to PES. Would you like to give us a little background about the company and explain how you meet the needs of the wind industry?
Jan Skovsted: KLS Energy is a company that provides technical and consulting services to major companies that are active in the energy sector. The company was founded and is managed by Karsten Lynge Skovsted, and his experience and competencies have been built-up over many years in the industry.
The people of KLS, fuelled by their professionalism and experience, are able to deliver high standard services to the constantly evolving wind energy market.
The company in its current incarnation was formed, when KLS partnered up with Green Wind Consulting ApS in 2014 to extend the service range especially within the field of blade inspections and repair. Green Wind Consulting was interesting for KLS, because of their contacts in the energy sector as well as their team of blade experts with extensive experience and know-how.
PES: And where in the world are you doing business?
JS: We have offices in Denmark, Greece and Switzerland. The establishment of a UK branch is in progress and is expected to be operational this year. Furthermore, we have plans for an office in Norway in 2016.
