Ningbo, China – 1 July, 2024 – Ginlong (Solis) Technologies, the world’s third-largest PV inverter manufacturer, proudly announced at the SNEC exhibition earlier this month that its 30kW inverter supported an offshore photovoltaic empirical project. This news follows the establishment of the Offshore Photovoltaic Verification Base, a joint venture between the National Solar Photovoltaic Quality Inspection Centre (CPVT) and CIMC Jiguang. This base is the first national-level photovoltaic product quality inspection center in China, with Solis among the first companies to undergo and achieve offshore verification.
As PV technology for offshore environments continues to advance, Solis has set new standards for waterproof sealing, corrosion resistance, and mechanical performance in its inverters and components. These recent developments address the environmental challenges of operating on water, including storms, waves, sea ice, bird droppings, high salt spray, and high humidity. The recent certification of the inverters signifies that the technology has been commended by the industry for its strong resistance to the harsh conditions of offshore projects.
At the CPVT booth, a certification ceremony was held for Solis’s S6-PCS100K-M energy storage inverter, a core product in the commercial and industrial energy storage sector, as it participated in the first batch of new national standard tests. The product boasts a maximum charge and discharge efficiency of 98.5%, effectively improving system yields. Its IGBT independent IP protection design ensures stable operation in harsh environments, maintaining a 50kW output even at temperatures of 60°C. The design of the inverter makes it suitable for a wide range of integrated energy storage cabinets.
Kun Zhang, Product Director at Solis, stated, “These recent certifications underscore our dedication to developing resilient and reliable technology for challenging environments, ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards. This accomplishment not only strengthens our market position but also reaffirms our mission to power the world with clean energy. Solis will use this opportunity to collaborate closely with CPVT, jointly promoting and advancing the safe, reliable, high-quality, and sustainable development of the PV industry.”
