Direct Grid Technologies Names Scott Landstrom as New CEO

Direct Grid, a leading manufacturer of utility grade micro inverters, today announced that Scott Landstrom has been named by the Board of Directors as new Chief Executive Officer. Guy Ward, the Direct Grid previous CEO, will assume the role of Executive Chairman.

“We are excited about Scott’s new leadership role. His strategic orientation, plus his broad high technology enterprise experience, will help propel Direct Grid through its next growth stages,” said Frank Cooper, Direct Grid founder and president. “He quickly emerged as the right CEO candidate through a proven track record of successfully leading companies through aggressive expansion phases, which is precisely the path Direct Grid finds itself navigating at this moment.”

Direct Grid, which offers a market leading 480 watt micro inverter for the solar industry, is poised for explosive growth in a segment which is now embracing the technology because of the many value propositions the micro-inverter solution offers. “I am delighted to be assuming a more intensive operational role with Direct Grid, given its disruptive and highly differentiated value-add technology”, stated Scott Landstrom. “There are solid reasons why the micro-inverter segment has been growing at triple digit CAGR’s for the past few years, and the DG solution is uniquely suited to serve both commercial/industrial and utility application segments better than any competitor. I applaud the progress made by Guy Ward and the team to this juncture, and am confident I can help lead Direct Grid to the next levels of commercial adoption and explosive growth.”
