High-quality AC-enabled solar module further improves system output
October 5, 2010 – Upsolar, a leading international solar module supply partner, has announced a partnership with Enphase Energy, Inc., the leader in solar microinverter technology. Current and future generations of Upsolar’s PV modules will incorporate Enphase junction boxes compatible with Enphase microinverters, resulting in an AC-enabled solar module product, known as ACE.

Enphase Microinverters increase the energy harvest of solar installations through maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and power conversion at the module level, improving system output by as much as 25 percent. The system’s performance data is collected through Enphase’s Envoy communications gateway and stored on a personalized website, where owners can easily monitor and manage their installations. During installation, PV Systems utilizing ACE Modules can create a savings of up to 12 to 15 percent in labor and balance of systems expenditures.
The Enphase junction boxes will be integrated into Upsolar’s solar crystalline silicon modules during production, utilizing the company’s “Excellence at Each Step” manufacturing approach.
