New dry pumps cover the entire range of pump down requirements encountered in the FPD and solar markets
Edwards, a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products and abatement systems and a leading provider of related value-added services, today introduced the new iXL250Q and iXL750Q dry pumps. The new pumps, with the addition of the already-existing iXL500Q pump, cover the entire range of pump down requirements encountered in the flat panel display (FPD) and solar manufacturing market sector, from the smaller loadlocks at Generation 4 right up to the largest at Generation 8 or 10. Visit Edwards at booth 5351 in the North Hall during InterSolar, taking place July 10-12, 2012 in San Francisco, Calif., to learn more about the iXL Series.
These leading-performance pumps are designed to maximize substrate throughput, while minimizing power, footprint and weight. In addition, no maintenance is required between overhauls. All pumps are “Green Mode” enabled, allowing them to run at lower power during idle periods and therefore offering the potential to lower annual running costs.
“Minimizing cost-of-ownership is a high priority for Edwards in working with our customers,” stated Dr. Allister Watson, Edwards’ senior product manager for FPD drypumps. “We are focused on guiding customers to the most efficient product choices based on their specifications. These new iXL dry pumps further expand our product portfolio so that we can provide our customers with the most efficient means possible to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost.”
