2bm Continues To See High Demand For Next-generation Power Monitoring Solution


New contracts for 2bm iMeter recently signed with Nottingham University, East Midlands Ambulance and the University of Warwick as organisations look to reduce energy usage in the data centre

The 2bm iMeter is the first product to provide an intelligent, reliable and accurate method of monitoring power consumption without requiring any system downtime. The iMeter’s data gathering capabilities has been greatly enhanced by the introduction of 2bm’s iMeter Management Software (iMS), an extremely powerful data collection, analytical and reporting software suite which has been designed to enable IT and facilities personnel to manage power consumption in the data centre more efficiently. The iMS solution monitors the 2bm iMeter and its attached sensors in order to collect sensor data including power usage, temperature and humidity, enabling companies to gain a better understanding of where power savings can be made within the data centre, providing companies with the ability to effectively manage and analyse data centre power usage so that decisions aimed at reducing power costs and improving operational efficiency can be easily made.
