PES: Welcome to PES Wind magazine. Thanks for talking with us. Would you like to begin by explaining a little about the background of your organisation and how you currently serve the wind industry?
Marius Schroeder: The SPECTAIR GROUP is one of the largest corporate groups in the UAV or drone industry in Europe. Our drone service provider, SPECTAIR, is currently researching and testing the possibilities of transferring our know-how from industry inspection and surveying to the wind industry. The demand is very high; all major wind energy companies are interested in unmanned aerial systems. But there are challenges involved.
Our hardware producer HEIGHT TECH is also using this know-how to optimise custom UAVs for the special demands the wind industry has, like high wind stability and high resolution pictures.
PES: You are active in a number of industry sectors. How important is the wind business to Height Tech?
