Taking offshore construction to the next level

With the acquisition of the offshore jack-up crane vessel, Vidar, the respected Jan De Nul Group’s services for the installation of offshore wind farms will be considerably extended. We examine the group’s recent acquisition and wider wind offering.

Services for the renewable energy industry are a key part of the services provided by Jan De Nul Group and are playing an ever increasing role. In total, the company provides services related to the installation of offshore wind farms, including: installation of export and inter array cables; fabrication and installation of Gravity Based Foundations; transport and installation of jacket or monopile foundations and high voltage station; installation of scour protection around the foundations; not to mention the installation of entire wind turbines.

The large Jan De Nul fleet of dredging
and offshore installation vessels provides the necessary flexibility to execute all
such services. Moreover, the combination with an in-house design department capacity for civil and environmental works offers the perfect match to provide clients with an overall solution for their project on an EPC basis.

Seabed intervention
