For Karoliina Joensuu, Global Head of Renewable Energy for Pöyry Hydropower & Renewable Energy, Operational Excellence is a key – and growing – part of the company’s service offering. We spoke to the respected executive about the company’s current focus and discussed where growth is coming from.
PES: Welcome back to PES. For the benefit of new readers, would you like to explain a little about the company and tell us how you serve the wind industry?
Karoliina Joensuu: Pöyry is an international consulting and engineering company. We provide services across the full project lifecycle, from management consulting to engineering services, and from project management to operations support, solving complex challenges faced by the energy, industry and infrastructure industries.
Pöyry has served the wind power industry since early 1990s. We provide measurement services, consultancy, engineering, financial analyses and O&M consulting services. Our references cover a wide spectrum both geographically and in project type and size.
PES: And how has business been recently?
KJ: Business has been good for Pöyry this year; we reported positive year half results with increased order book of over 500 million Euros.
