data gathering. UAVs are being used more and more in the wind industry.
PES: Welcome to PES Wind magazine. Thanks for talking with us. Would you like to begin by explaining a little about the background of your organisation
and how you currently serve the wind industry?
Chris Young: We are a ‘disruptive technology’ business, which uses unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones. The company provides bespoke solutions for a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, petrochemical, renewables, surveying and property management integrity. The type of services includes asset integrity management inspection, 2D/3D land and building surveying, volumetric analysis, as well as 4K HD aerial cinematography.
We are based at the Fusion Hive in Stockton-On-Tees which is a ‘technology hub’ and provides unique access to high end tech and digital companies as well as university R&D.
Our pilots are fully trained and qualified through RUSTA/BNUCs/Resource Group
to the highest standards and have gained Permission for Aerial Work from the CAA.
Safety is our number one priority, as it is with our clients in the high hazard industries we serve, pre-flight and on-site surveys and risk assessment are conducted before every flight.
