An industry is only as good as its people. With wind energy growing and developing at a pace, finding skilled employees is just one of industry’s big challenges. PES speaks to Lars Poslednik of Mensys Group about putting the right people in the right positions.
PES: Welcome back to PES. Would you like to acquaint new readers with your company and outline your involvement in the wind industry?
LP: We are providing flexible and permanent workforce solutions to the industry. That could be skilled personnel like Service Technician, Foreman, Site Manager or Project Manager & Engineers, etc.
In both sectors, onshore and offshore, we are offering them flexible positions as a contractor on our payroll, as freelancer, interim manager or permanent positions to our clients! We are also providing master vendor or neutral vendor solutions to handle projects on a bigger scale with co-suppliers, etc.
That gives our clients the opportunity to concentrate on their core business and we´re taking over the recruiting part with our experienced consultants. Nearly 100 per cent of all turbine manufactures and most of the big independent service companies in Germany are working with us.
PES: And how has business been since we last spoke?
LP: We have had a great development! We have four times more revenue than last time; we hired a lot of new internal consultants to serve our clients and employees, we opened a new office in Emden and we added a new service line to our business model. That´s not just because the industry has grown – it´s more that we didn’t lose any clients and won some more.
