Summer is fast approaching, but you won’t find us at PES heading off to the coast just yet, for this is our busiest time of year. And it seems, from the many conversations we had at the recent Solarexpo 2011, it’s also a very productive quarter for many of you.
It was encouraging to witness so much life at the show in Verona, with business clearly being done and a tremendous buzz about the place. We’ve been media partners at most of the industry shows over the past few years and have noticed a dramatic up-shift in operations, which is great to see. We’ll continue to support the world’s biggest shows, and will be off to Munich for Intersolar in June. We can’t wait. Please don’t hesitate to come and introduce yourself if you see us over there.
In the meantime, we’ve just published the latest issue of PES magazine, which we’re extremely proud of. In this essential issue, we report on a potentially damaging decision in China to place a ban on the export of 17 different minerals, many of which are crucial to the manufacture of PV cells in Europe. We also examine the battle between solar and wind; consider the latest thinking when it comes to employing PR for the PV industry; and introduce you to a host of influential interviewees.
There’s our usual mix of analysis and comment, and a selection of in-depth features relating to PV manufacturing in all its forms.
All in all, it makes for great reading – and dare we say it, a welcome distraction in the downtime between industry shows. So until next time…
