Phoenix Solar AG builds a 4.7 megawatt solar park for solarcomplex AG in the region of Lake Constance

Phoenix Solar AG, a leading international photovoltaic system integrator listed on the German TecDAX, has been commissioned as EPC contractor by Singen-based solarcomplex AG to build a solar park with a peak power of around 4.7 megawatts in Bodman- Ludwigshafen. Solarcomplex AG is a regional supplier of renewable energies specialised in realising power plants in the region of Lake Constance. The solar park is to be constructed on around 800 metres of land on both sides of the railway tracks from Stockach to Radolfzell. Since the summer of 2010, only ground- mounted photovoltaic plants on sites already sealed or conversion sites or within a 110-metre corridor along motorways or railway tracks are eligible for promotion under the German Renewable Energies Act.

Phoenix Solar has been working together with solarcomplex AG since 2005. A number of rooftop and ground-mounted projects in the one-digit megawatt range have been realised to date. “We are delighted that, in the Bodman-Ludwigshafen project, we are continuing our long-standing cooperation with solarcomplex AG. Following the first half-year, which was dominated by international projects, we will be concentrating increasingly on projects in Germany in the second half”, stated Ralph Schneider, Executive Vice President Solar Energy Investments of Phoenix Solar.
