PES: Welcome to PES. Would you like
to introduce the company and explain
a little about how you serve the
solar/PV industry?
Ralph Loske: Edwards is leading the way in vacuum and abatement for solar manufacturing. With a 90-year history in vacuum/abatement, we have leveraged our product capabilities and application expertise from other industries, such as semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing, and either transferred or developed our most advanced technology for photovoltaic manufacturing processes. Our ability to diagnose issues and develop innovative and practical solutions by supporting worldwide leading solar OEMs and the related end users has provided real benefits to PV manufacturers in terms of quality, product yield and cost.
PES: Where in the world are you doing business? Do you have plans to expand into other markets?
RL: Edwards a leading global supplier of context driven solutions to the photovoltaic industry, providing a complete range of dry vacuum pumps, turbomolecular pumps (TMPs) and exhaust management systems for all processes. Either as individual product ranges or fully integrated pump and abatement solutions, our process knowledge and technical expertise within the photovoltaic industry are key factors in helping our customers maintain deliver and quality requirements. We have manufacturing and service facilities across the world with focus on our key customer sites.
