GoodWe Unveiling Plans for a Solar Future at Solar and Storage Live

Solar manufacturer GoodWe is set to unveil two new products at Solar and Storage Live 2022.

The products to be showcased at the UK’s flagship solar and renewables event, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 18th – 20th October, include a new model of GoodWe’s innovative hybrid inverter and a domestic energy storage solution that combines superior performance with optimised user experience.

With solar products high in demand as homeowners seek ways to combat the energy crisis, GoodWe (stand E1) will be demonstrating its latest products to help installers and distributors with residential installations. This includes a new 6kW model of its powerful single-phase, low voltage hybrid inverter, the ES G2 Series.

The 6kW ES G2 inverter is a single-phase hybrid inverter designed to increase self-consumption of solar energy. Available in outputs ranging from 3-6kW, its smart design offers great flexibility for demanding scenarios as it supports peak-shaving functionality and parallel operation for expansion up to 30kW. Moreover, ES G2 enhances operational safety with remote shutdown as well as a range of other safety features to provide all-round protection for the inverter and even the whole PV system. Thanks to its integrated plug-and-play functionality and compact, lightweight design, PV installations can be quicker and easier to complete than ever before.

Showcased alongside the new inverter will be the Lynx Home U Series low voltage lithium battery, specially designed for residential use. The U Series has a built-in auto recognition function which allows for much faster setup, making installations simpler. Remote diagnosis and upgrades also mean maintenance is easier to manage too. Automatic undervoltage rebooting contributes to enhanced safety and a smoother user experience, as does the Lynx U Series’ IP65 protection level.

The new inverter and battery are part of GoodWe’s overall Eco SmartHome concept, seamlessly integrating all aspects of residential solar, including BIPV panels and EV chargers.

Eugene Lucarelli, Marketing Manager at GoodWe UK, said: “Microgeneration and storage are the way to go in order to address the current power crisis and eventually lead to all houses being partially or totally powered by solar.

“With the launch of our ES G2 series, alongside our existing comprehensive line of solar inverters and storage technology, we are aiming to protect the general public from rising energy costs, power outages, and over-reliance on the grid. Not only that, but we eliminate the usual hassles for installers such as warranty issues, installation delays, and compatibility problems.

“The Lynx Home U series of batteries puts solar power in the hands of consumers. Designed with home applications in mind, the U Series is easy to install and commission, and very user-friendly. With a range of 5.4 – 32.4 kWh, combining the ES G2 inverter with a Lynx Home U Series battery will safeguard any home against rising energy costs and power outages, as well as help contribute to the UK’s net zero goals.”

Alongside its residential solar solutions, GoodWe is also leading the charge on commercial and utility-scale solutions. Accompanying Eugene Lucarelli at Solar and Storage Live is David Sanchez, EMEA Sales Director at GoodWe, who will be on hand to discuss solar power’s potential in the UK and answer any questions on solar farms and industrial solar applications.

Sanchez added: “GoodWe is determined to be an ally in helping the UK achieve its Net Zero goals. We believe that solar is key to driving the energy transition both nationally and globally, which is why we are excited for Solar and Storage Live. GoodWe’s large-scale inverters are already in use across utility-scale farms in China, APAC and EMEA so It’s a fantastic opportunity to unveil our newest developments, bringing our knowledge and expertise to play our part in the UK’s future.”
