PV cable entry into roof, separated and airtight

BARENDRECHT, September 27th , 2021 – Conduct Technical Solutions, developer, manufacturer and distributor of PV installation supplies, launches its latest product, PVtube. With the PVtube it is possible to run solar panel cabling airtight and fireproof through the roof of a house, stable or commercial building. With this solution, Conduct offers a world first.

Cable entry and the increasingly strict standards
Due to the increasing need for safe solar panel installations, the requirement for passing through DC cabling separately and airtightly the roof decking has become a fact. Conduct introduces the PVtube to separate the cables and lead them in airtight through the roof.

“In the current era of sustainability, installers are looking for innovative and qualitative solutions that meet the standards, optimize energy efficiency and are easy to install. We are therefore extremely proud of our latest innovation, with which we are once again taking a step towards greater fire safety in PV installations”, says Pieter Kremer, Director of Conduct Technical Solutions.

How does it work?
PVtube meets these increasingly stringent guidelines by means of two sealed conduit-connected conduit hoods. These hoods close against the roof boarding by means of rubber rings. This complies with the airtightness along the tubes. The use of cable glands provide the airtightness through the tubes. These pipes are standard placed at a center distance of 10 cm.

Easy installation
For simplification for the installer, the PVtube can be installed in two ways. By using the supplied center distance sticker, you can choose to drill two separate 35mm holes. You can also choose to drill a 152mm hole, after which the PVtube can be placed at lightning speed in combination with the RockWool insulation cylinder optionally supplied by Conduct. PVtube is available from the national PV wholesaler.

Conduct Technical Solutions BV, founded in 2005, is a fast-growing developer and manufacturer of PV installation supplies. In addition, the company is a distributor and knowledge center of the surge protection manufacturer Saltek. In 2011, Conduct took a leading position when it launched the in-house developed Roofsupport ®, a cable management system for roof-mounted solar panel installations (PV).

With in-depth knowledge of the PV market, especially in the field of lightning and surge protection, combined with a high level of service, Conduct has acquired a leading position as a partner for end users, consultants, wholesalers and electrical installers.
