SNEC 2017: High-performance Kubus stringer with ten-percent improvement in performance / M10 Industries AG surpasses its own best record through optimized handling
With its Kubus tabber-stringer, M10 Industries AG from Freiburg, Germany, has once again achieved a new performance record in the industrial soldering of crystalline solar cells and has set a new standard. With 5,500 cells per hour and unique plant availability (uptime) of 98 percent, Kubus is the only tabber-stringer to achieve an annual capacity of 190 megawatts. This results in a further reduction in production costs for photovoltaic modules. In a 3D simulation, the improved soldering machine will be presented at SNEC 2017, the world’s largest trade fair for photovoltaics in Shanghai from April 19-21 (hall E3, booth 650).
Cost-efficient production of PV modules
The high-performance Kubus stringer underlines how superior the simultaneous soldering of up to six cells is: “Anyone can now see that we chose the right system: the increase in output is a logical development step for us”, emphasizes co-founder and CEO Gregor Reddemann. Kubus is the only stringer in the world that can connect six adjacent cells with one another in a single soldering process. As a result of uninterrupted production and the consistent decoupling of the work steps, photovoltaic modules be produced even more affordably. Kubus is capable of soldering up to 5,500 solar cells per hour, as, unlike in conventional procedures, there are no more interruptions for inserting individual cell connector rolls.
Higher performance in production – increased sales for customers
News of the ten-percent performance increase of Kubus comes at the right time prior to the important PV trade fair SNEC in Shanghai. M10 will demonstrate the soldering machine to interested customers there in a 3D simulation and also discuss the performance increase and the related savings potential in greater detail. “Kubus in the production line allows us to achieve greater performance, reduce material costs, and increase sales”, emphasizes Maximilian Germann, Sales Manager at M10 Industries AG.
