– Solarexpo, one of the world’s biggest solar industry events, today presents the focus topics and special projects for the 13th edition of its the international exhibition and conference on renewable energy and distributed generation, to be held at the Verona Exhibition Centre, Italy, on 9-11 May 2012.
Solarexpo is Italy’s most important event for renewables and the No. 3 worldwide. At the same time, the Italian solar market is the biggest globally thanks to the prospect of achieving grid parity between 2013 and 2016.
In a context where global solar PV installations will reach 24 GW in 2011, a rise of 24% from 2010, Italy will this year displace Germany as the world’s largest market”, explained Sara Quotti Tubi, director of Solarexpo. “In this context Solarexpo has confirmed its status as the leading trade fair in the renewables sector in Italy and among the biggest in the field worldwide. To be an exhibitor of Solarexpo means to be an actor in the world’s biggest solar market”.
Solarexpo 2012 will feature three technology focus areas dedicated to the highly topical themes. The PV Supply Chain will showcase and review innovations and technologies along the entire photovoltaic supply chain. CSP-CPV will focus on all aspects of concentrated solar power. This exclusive area will be dedicated to companies providing CSP technologies – whether thermodynamic or photovoltaic – and related products. The third area, Polygen, will concentrate on distributed cogeneration and trigeneration.
Another highlight of Solarexpo 2012 is Solarch – Building solar design & technologies. Now in its third edition and with a dedicated exhibition hall, Solarch will offer a thorough insight into the integration of solar into architecture. The event will also see the second edition of E: Move, dedicated to electric mobility.
Solarexpo 2012 will cover 10 exhibition halls and a total exhibition area of 125,000 square metres.
