Munich, 21 September 2016: As a prominent company in the renewable energy sector, BayWa r.e. will be represented at the world’s leading expo for wind power, with a stand at this year’s WindEnergy Hamburg (Germany). BayWa r.e. is active around the world as a specialist in the development, engineering, funding, turnkey construction and operations management wind energy plants. To date, the company has completed wind farm projects with a total installed capacity of significantly above 1 gigawatt. “The fact that we are so successful in the increasingly competitive wind energy sector is down to our close proximity to the customer on the one hand, and our ability to respond and adapt our service portfolio quickly to changing circumstances, on the other. We have 25 years of experience in this sector to rely on, as well as our technical expertise and high quality standards, all of which make us ideally equipped to face the challenges of the future,” explained Matthias Taft, Board Member of BayWa AG, responsible for the energy business.
In Europe, BayWa r.e. was recently able to add to its already impressive statistics, with the successful sale of the French St. Congard wind farm and Obernwohlde wind farm in Northern Germany

“In order to further consolidate our competitive edge, we never stop making improvements to our extensive range of full services. Alongside our own projects, we are currently working intensively on models relating to the assumption of risk and project acquisition. This will allow us to provide optimum support to our partners in the German market when bringing wind energy projects to fruition, once the Renewable Energy Sources Act is amended in 2017,” explained Matthias Taft.
As an EPC service provider, BayWa r.e. offers project developers, public utilities and community wind farms a range of models which can be customised to suit their individual requirements.
