Düsseldorf/Philadelphia, April 20, 2009. The new American government is bringing the energy turnaround forward, also under the omen of the bank and financial crisis. On February 17th 2009, the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009″ was decreed. This act, amongst others, aims at strongly supporting renewable energies in the USA.The act contains tax incentives and new investments amounting to approx. 787 Billion USD. Thereof, approximately 43 Billion US-Dollars are planned for the new „green energy infrastructure”. The new and longer-termed planning horizon is also of great significance for projects within the field of “renewable energies” as well as advancement of commercial projects.

Windboom USA – A Huge Market creates Opportunities for German Businesses Even during the past years, the American wind industry boom has demonstrated what is possible: 8.358 MW of wind-produced electricity went on line in the USA in 2008 alone. Compared to 2007, this was equal to a 50%-increase. During the past five years, the average annual growth rate laid at 32%.

In the past years, the German manufacturers of wind energy converters have increased their activities and commitment in the USA by establishing subsidiaries and in part, building their first production facilities; creating secure and high-quality new green jobs.
