The LGxxxM1C-G2, LGxxxM1W-G2, LGxxxP1C-G2 and LGxxxP1W-G2 solar modules manufactured by LG Solar withstood the special requirements in agriculture, according to IEC62716/Draft C. This was confirmed by TÜV Rheinland, the German quality-testing institution, proving that air containing ammonia does not lead to accelerated aging of module components.
Corrosion resistance Over the past years, the agricultural sector has been one of the driving factors in the solar industry. But especially in animal husbandry, the ammonia gas produced may lead to damage due to corrosion in solar modules, which in turn, may result in a loss of performance. However, the corrosion resistance test recently performed by TÜV has now shown that modules from LG Solar meet these special quality requirements and that neither their performance nor their lifecycle are impacted by the ammonia- saturated environment. Since the LGxxxP1C-G2, LGxxxP1W-G2, LGxxxM1C- G2 and LGxxxM1W-G2 modules have the same design as the new LGxxxR1C- G2 and LGxxxS1C-G2, the test results can also be applied to the former.
