Successful Kick Off For Intersolar China

Intersolar China, China’s international exhibition for the solar industry, drew to a close on Friday, December 9, 2011. In total, 130 exhibitors from 13 countries attended the inaugural exhibition, which took place at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The organizers welcomed about 4,500 visitors from all over the world. The Intersolar China Conference, which ran one day offset to the exhibition from December 6-8 at the InterContinental Hotel in Beijing, was also a big success. Nearly 60 speakers presented the latest technologies, industry trends and developments in global solar markets to 492 attendees. The organizers, partners, exhibitors and visitors were particularly impressed with the superior quality of the conference talks and the level of international participation at the exhibition.

From December 7-9, the international solar industry convened at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing to present its latest innovations and trends and discuss the development of the international and Chinese solar markets.

Bustling exhibition halls and a comprehensive program
In total, 130 companies from 13 countries exhibited their products and services across 11,000 square meters, showcasing all areas of solar electricity generation and the entire supply chain from raw materials to finished solar modules and from manufacturers to project developers. Exhibition booths were well attended thanks to the nearly 4,500 visitors walking the floor. The accompanying program was also well received: At the Innovation Exchange – the exhibition’s forum for innovations- exhibitors presented their product innovations during 15-minute presentations, giving Intersolar China visitors a simple and concise overview of the latest developments in the industry. Joint Forces for Solar, an international initiative for the PV industry, presented basic information on global solar markets as part of a daylong program of events. Companies flocked to the Intersolar Pavilion to find out about Intersolar’s international exhibitions and the entry conditions for the Intersolar AWARD, a highly prestigious award in the solar industry.

Expertise at the Intersolar China Conference
The organizers, partners and visitors were all impressed with the Intersolar China Conference, which took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Beijing. Jan Heydolph, Managing Director of Yatsen Associates in Beijing, China, and conference attendee, summed up his experience: “The conference was exceptionally well organized. Particular mention should be given to the mix of business and technical topics and the well-thought selection of speakers. Topics were addressed in sufficient depth despite the broad thematic spectrum, and the event was organised professionally with a coherent format. All in all, a worthwhile event that kept you interested from start to finish.”

Over two thirds of the 60 or so speakers came from outside China. A total of 492 attendees used the three-day conference as a platform to discuss the latest technologies and trends in the industry as well as the future of the international solar market. With around 150 participants, the official opening ceremony of the Intersolar China Conference was well attended. As part of their keynote speeches, Hans-Josef Fell, political party of Alliance 90/The Greens, Germany and Reinhold Buttgereit, Secretary General of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) in Brussels, Belgium referred to the trade conflict currently ongoing between the U.S. and the People’s Republic of China, and called for unrestricted access to the market and fair competition.
