Solis Confirms Compliance with UK Cyber Security Regulation

The UK is one of the first major markets to insist that manufacturers of consumer connected devices comply with cyber security rules – including solar inverters.

13 May 2024, London, United Kingdom: Solis Inverters (the company), a global powerhouse in the solar energy industry, announces full compliance with the new Product Security & Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Regime which came into force in the United Kingdom on April 29th, 2024.

This new scheme requires all manufacturers of internet connected devices to comply with a new series of cyber security measures to make all products more secure.   This includes devices in any solar energy ecosystem which are internet connected.

Sandy Woodward, General Manager Solis Europe said, “The advances in solar technology must keep pace with what society demands and Solis takes cyber security very seriously.  It is vital that we maintain our trusted relationship with our customers and the UK’s PSTI cyber security regulation is welcomed by us.  Our data logging products are ready and fully cyber secure.”
