SolarWelt solders M6 PERC half cells with 9 busbars on the latest generation of Teamtechnik stringers

The solar module manufacturer SolarWelt was looking for a world-class system builder in order to begin production, and opted for collaboration with a tried-and-tested partner. The company, based in Thuringia and cooperating closely with Heckert Solar, awarded a contract to Freiberg-based stringer specialist Teamtechnik, ordering a large number of stringer systems of the latest TT2100 generation plus layup systems. Teamtechnik is one of the most technologically advanced specialists for high-volume production with high process precision.

The current generation of the Teamtechnik Stringer TT2100 has been specially designed for high-precision processing of 9-busbar PERC cells. With these, the cells are soldered via extremely small pads

(roughly 1.0 x 0.7 mm) on the front and rear of the cells. The challenge here is to position nine narrow ribbons accurately onto the small pads at high speed.

SolarWelt entrusted the high-precision soldering of its new cells to the stringer expertise of system builder Teamtechnik. Danny Bönisch, project manager for SolarWelt, reports: ‘We are familiar with Teamtechnik production systems at Heckert Solar and we know that they will enable us even to exceed our own high quality standards.’ The laying precision of the ribbon handling, the exact positioning of the cell on the transport system, and the patented hold-down technology of Teamtechnik stringers ensure that this requirement for precision is reliably met.
