SNEC PV POWER EXPO 2013 to be held May 14-16 in Shanghai

With the continuous upgrading of technology and the growing demand for clean and renewable energy, a global wave of solar power has been produced, originating from Europe and spreading to the world. In particular, the Asian market, led by China, is increasing dramatically.

Approved by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China [Ref. No.: (2012)0407], SNEC 7th (2013) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition {SNEC PV POWER EXPO 2013} will be held on May 14-16 in Shanghai, China. It is hosted by Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), Chinese Renewable Energy Society (CRES), Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), Shanghai Science & Technology Development and Exchange Center (SSTDEC), Shanghai Federation of Economic Organizations (SFEO), Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA) and jointly organized by 16 international associations and organizations including Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA), etc.

On this occasion, the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) will host the “APVIA DAY” again on May 13, 2013, when the International PV Associations Meeting is taking place. Organized by the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA),European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) and Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA), the Meeting is an opportunity that the global solar leaders gather in Shanghai to take the pulse of the PV market of China, Asia and the world from industrial perspective and problem-oriented thinking, and move the industry forward with an innovation.

As part of the “APVIA DAY”, the Solar Leaders Dialogue will invite high-level representatives from industry associations in Europe, Asia and North America, CEOs from leading PV companies, industrial experts and scholars, participants from market research institutes, financial institutions and media, as well as the public to discuss extensively on the sustainable development of the solar industry, collaboration and developing strategies for the Asian, European and North American markets.

Another highlight of SNEC2013 is the Scientific Conference which will chaired by Prof Armin ABERLE, the CEO of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS). Prof Joachim LUTHER from SERIS and Prof Martin GREEN from the University of New South Wales will act as the honorary chairmen. The world’s top PV scientists along with CTOs from leading PV companies will present on the cutting-edge technologies of solar energy at the conference.

The healthy and sustainable development of the global PV industry can’t be separated from the full support from the financial sector. After the success of two editions of the Global PV Financial Summit held during SNEC2012 and PVAP2012 respectively, the 3rd Global PV Financial Summit will take place in conjunction with SNEC2013. Power plant operators from Germany, Spain, Australia, Japan, and China will be invited to share their successful cases. The Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) mechanism will be introduced. Business mode, project financing, risk control, and exist strategy on power plant operation will also be discussed by financial and PV industry professionals.
