Smart Efficiency with HARTING smart Power Networks

The 64th HANNOVER MESSE takes place in Hanover from April 4 to 8, 2011. This year’s overall theme is Smart Efficiency, and companies will be presenting solutions for the intelligent interplay between costs, process and resource efficiency at 13 international sector shows along the industrial value creation chain. France will be the HANNOVER MESSE Official Partner. Exhibitor participation stands under the heading of “Innovation for Sustainable Growth”, and the main focus will be on the areas of energy, sustainable mobility and energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency also plays a central role at the HARTING Technology Group exhibition stands this year. HARTING smart Power Networks will feature as a major highlight of the show on Main Stand C13, Hall 11. This intelligent energy network harnesses active network components to deliver intelligent energy distribution. Smart grids – currently the topic of so much discussion – can now be utilized by industry. These advances deliver significant benefits in planning, commissioning and facility availability, and are essential factors in boosting energy efficiency.

With over 800 m² of stand space, there will naturally be a lot more innovations on show from the HARTING trio of Installation Technology, Device Connectivity and Automation IT. This includes HARTING RFID system solutions – for KanBan applications, for example – and the new mCon 3000 series managed industry switches. These will also be on view at the Wind sector show in Hall 27, Stand J26. HARTING will be exhibiting there for the first time, presenting its solutions for the wind energy sector, such as the new members of the Han-Eco® product family, whose corrosion-resistant plastic housing will be of particular interest to the offshore sector. HARTING will also be exhibiting at MobiliTec (Hall 25, J11) – the sector show for hybrid and electrical propulsion technology, mobile energy storage and alternative mobility technology – showing its charging cable for electric automobiles and the corresponding gas pump interface, developed in cooperation with the RWE Energy Group.
