Silfab and Eurotron have teamed up to introduce back-contact PV modules in North America. A unique collaboration between Eurotron, a global leader in equipment for manufacturing of back-contact PV modules and Silfab Solar, a North American leading manufacturer of premium quality PV modules.
At their Bellingham factory, Silfab Solar is dedicated to produce PV modules with a superior reliability and the lowest defect rate in America. Eurotron, with over twelve years and 3 GWp of field experience in high-tech equipment for back-contact PV modules, is happy to contribute to Silfab’s success. Compared to traditional modules, back-contact PV modules show a significant improvement in performance and durability. This will be an added value for the US market which has a strong focus on quality and performance.
The installation of a full-size industrial production tool for the manufacturing of back- contact PV modules at the Silfab Solar facility in Bellingham in April 2019 has marked the first step in this collaboration. The production line is capable for both full-size back contact modules as well as half-cell modules which show a performance increase. Silfab Solar will be able to produce back-contact PV modules with a total production capacity of 240 MWp per year.
By teaming up, Silfab Solar and Eurotron are joining forces with the aim to deliver the highest quality in PV modules in the United States. Both companies bring in their expertise, knowledge and will cooperate on further research and development.
