Siemens begins charter of WIND SERVER; DBB Jack-up’s purpose-built service vessel

DBB Jack-Up Services A/S announced today that Siemens is beginning a three-year charter agreement for DBB Jack-up’s new purpose-built jack-up vessel, WIND SERVER. Delivered to Siemens today, the vessel will be part of an important initiative to service the rising number of large-scaled offshore wind power projects across Northern Europe.

“We are very pleased to add this highly innovative, purpose-built superior jack-up vessel to our service fleet. It will allow us to keep the vessel ready for fast mobilization, reducing the required lead time for projects,” says René Cornelis Wigmans, Head of Maritime & Aviation Solutions Siemens Wind Power Service who adds: “The addition of Wind Server to our fleet represents our unrelenting approach in reducing the cost of offshore wind energy and underscores our lasting commitment in developing and offering efficient offshore wind service solutions for our customers.”
