Hamburg/Edinburgh: Senvion, one of the world’s biggest wind turbine manufacturers, has signed a
contract with Vattenfall to supply 16 Senvion 3.4M104 turbines to the Ray Wind Farm.
Located on the Ray Estate near Kirkwhelpington in Northumberland, Ray Wind Farm will have a total rated output of 54.4 megawatts (MW) and will produce enough electricity to power more than 30,000 homes each year. Ray Wind Farm is the first project that Senvion has signed with Vattenfall in the UK using the 3.XM platform. The first turbine installations are scheduled for July 2016.
