Senvion celebrates commercial operation of 350 MW Rivière-du-Moulin Wind Farm


Senvion is marking the commercial operation of the Rivière-du-Moulin wind project in Quebec, Canada. With 175 2 megawatt (MW) turbines totaling 350 MW, the wind project consists of Senvion MM92 and MM82 Cold Climate Version (CCV) type turbines. Several of the turbines are equipped with Senvion de-icing technology, adapted for cold Canadian climate conditions. The Rivière-du-Moulin wind farm is the biggest onshore contract in the history of Senvion and comes as part of the 1 gigawatt framework agreement Senvion signed with developer EDF EN Canada Inc. in 2009.
