SeaRoc Group Leads HSE Training in Taiwan


SeaRoc Group, experts in offshore renewable energy since 2002, has been awarded a contract to deliver training on effective HSE management in offshore wind, to Taiwan based CSBC Corporation, in partnership with ClassNK.

The training, taking place on 16/17 March 2016 will assist CSBC in being able to plan and manage activities safely as EPCI contractor for offshore wind farm projects, for the complete project lifecycle. The session being delivered by SeaRoc Group’s Head of HSEQ, Kelly-Ann Ee and will provide details of specific HSE requirements for offshore wind developments, methods for effective HSE management, key HSE issues and systems to manage HSE.

SeaRoc Group was selected by CSBC based on the expertise that has been demonstrated through their portfolio of projects throughout their 14 years working in the offshore renewables industry.

There is a specific focus on offshore wind development by the Government of Taiwan, as part of its aim to achieve around 14GW of renewable generation capacity by 2030. Taiwan has pledged to boost offshore wind industry by investing NT$ 88 billion (EUR 2.5 billion) by 2020 and NT$ 670 billion (EUR 18.7 billion) by 2030.
