Sales launch of the SolarMax HT series for commercial PV power plants

With the powerful SolarMax HT string inverters with multi-tracking, operators of commercial and industrial PV power plants may optimize the yields of every single partial generator.

Biel, June 11, 2014 – SolarMax announces the immediate sales launch of the HT string inverters, mainly suitable for solar power plants on commercial and industrial roofs. As confirmed within the framework of last week’s Intersolar Europe, this market segment is characterized by its huge growth potential. The market research company IHS assumes that the share of commercial PV power plants will increase to 40 percent until 2017. More than half of the plants newly built in Europe in 2014 will be in the commercial sector. In this, power plant planners face the challenge of implementing cost-optimized systems with high levels of availability and efficiency. The new SolarMax HT inverters meet these criteria. They can be used flexibly in these plants and bring a high degree of cost efficiency thanks to the low system costs and high yields.

The HT string inverters will be available in three models with 4 MPP trackers with a power output of 30kW or 32kW (30HT4 / 32HT4), as well as a version with 2 MPP trackers and a power output of 32kW (32HT2).

Thanks to the multi-tracking concept of the inverters, ideal operation of each individual partial generator is guaranteed even in the event of highly sophisticated configurations and partial shading. Additionally, the gaps between the rows of the individual modules can be reduced to increase the yields per surface unit.

The HT inverters respond to a huge market demand, and therefore first projects have already been finalized in Germany and Switzerland – even before the official sales launch. Since beginning of June, the HT inverters are officially available on the market.

HT inverters can be installed quickly and easily. The high output density and compact dimensions of the inverters minimize the required installation surface, simplify AC wiring, and thus reducing the installation costs. If external DC switches and surge arresters are necessary, the connection box of the 32HT2 represents a cost-optimized installation variant. The large input voltage range and protection class IP65 provide for additional flexibility when planning the plant.

The HT series inverters are moreover equipped with the latest communication solutions, which means they can be easily incorporated into the MaxView portal, for example.
