Following the successful launch of its first solar offering earlier this year, leading roof tile manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles has further strengthened its expertise in the solar PV sector with a new role.
A new Technical Solar Manager enables the firm to expand its reach into the market and improve the support it offers to builders, specifiers, and contractors across the country.
RussFast Solar, the manufacturer’s first solar offering to market, was launched in May this year following 18 months of research and development. As the demand for solar power in the UK continues to increase, the upgraded and improved 480W solar PV panel was introduced in September.
Matt Collins rejoins Russell Roof Tiles and brings with him a wealth of solar and renewables experience, following a four-year stint in the renewables industry. He had previously worked as a Sales Executive for the roof tile manufacturer.
He will use his expertise to support the existing sales and technical teams. Matt will establish his own network and specification work and assist in the delivery of installer training, and design work, enhancing the manufacturer’s support for its customers. He will also work closely with external SAP assessors to help them meet the evolving demands of UK building regulations for solar panels on new builds, offering RussFast Solar as a suitable solution.
