Guetenbach, 20th June, 2016: RENA Technologies GmbH has received high volume orders from several Asian tier1 solar cell manufacturers for its newly developed high throughput RENA BatchTex tool. The orders placed with RENA for equipment for alkaline texturing of monocrystalline silicon wafers sum up to a production capacity in the mid single-digit GW range.
RENA’s Batch N platform addresses the customers’ demand for high throughput processing while maintaining a compact footprint and enabling a very low CoO. Along with its proprietary and IPA-free texture additive monoTEX®, the new RENA BatchTex tools are able to process more than 5000 wafers per hour (net) and deliver excellent texturing results, yielding small and uniformly distributed pyramids and very low reflection values.
By providing a high throughput and low footprint tool to the market, RENA supports the customers in helping to address the increased demand for monocrystalline silicon processing technology and cutting costs at the same time.
