Project start for Wind Innovation

C-bed marks the New Year by seeing Wind Innovation heading off to the German North Sea and immediately initiate a new challenging offshore wind assignment.

The new project is located 95 km North West from Borkum Island, which is an ideal location with strong, steady winds. In total, the wind farm will compose 67 single offshore wind turbines and have a total capacity of 402 MW.

The project is expected to be concluded within 7-10 months and when fully commissioned, the wind farm provides electricity for 400,000 German homes every year.

By applying her purpose built walk-to-work concept, Wind Innovation will make up an integrated part of the entire installation setup.

Fit for purpose and Comfort Class III

Wind Innovation is perfectly fit for the multiple work sites that the offshore technicians need access to. Here, the C-bed floating hotel truly displays the benefits of a mobile offshore base camp servicing each individual wind turbine working site.

Besides functioning as a full scale project base camp, Wind Innovation provides certified Comfort Class III performance and 80 cabins (with option of 105 beds) available for charterers. All cabins with en-suite bathroom, internet, TV, desk, and wardrobe.
