RESOL has developed an economical solution for using excess current produced by PV systems – the DeltaTherm® PV immersion heater controller. This new controller can be fitted to all stores equipped with an electric immersion heater and is very easy to install, thus saving time and money. The controller reliably detects excess current and calculates the energy available. It then redirects the energy to a variable electric heater of up to 3 kW for heating the store. In this way, the excess power of a PV system can be converted into thermal energy and stored as renewable energy. The intelligent control helps by using more regenerative power for yourself and decreasing heating costs. All the while household power has absolute priority and grid compliance is maintained.
