Plant-for-the-Planet Academy in Lemgo: Fifty-six motivated children are interested in climate justice and planting 100 trees

The academy received support from the Solare Datensysteme GmbH (SDS) corporation.

On 12 March 2016, the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation organized one of their numerous academies in Lemgo, Germany. Fifty-six motivated children from 17 different schools met at the Karla-Raveh Comprehensive School to learn about causes and consequences of the climate crisis, being a world citizen and planting trees. The aim of the event was to help the children understand the relevance of climate justice and for them to become Climate Justice Ambassadors.

This goal resulted from the problem that the importance of climate justice is not yet understood by the public to the extend desired and, respectively, it is also not publicly conveyed. To change this in the future, the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation wants to teach the importance of the issue to the children with their academies and to convince them that the issues affects everybody. Each individual person has to act, and communication with the outside world is an essential factor for achieving climate justice.

Solare Datensysteme supports the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation’s academy in Lemgo. Likewise, SDS champions climate protection and would like to raise awareness for this issue through their actions. Organizations like Plant-for-the-Planet and their projects that pursue an identical goal are of great importance to SDS and are regularly supported.
