Hamburg, 1st June 2017. The offshore division of the Hamburg ports logistics company Buss Port Logistics will in future operate under the brand name Buss Offshore Solutions.
“We operate on a market that is fundamentally different from all of the others that Buss is involved with. In the offshore industry, as well as in the on-shore and oil/gas industry, we support international customers and business partners, whom we need to address differently than, for instance, our sister company Buss Port Services”, says Martin Schulz, who will in future be responsible for the new company.
Buss Offshore Solutions has been an active player in the offshore wind logistics industry from the start, and has established itself successfully in this specialist niche of port logistics. With the focus on heavy, challenging loads, a team with international experience develops tailor-made logistics solutions for its customers. Buss Offshore Solutions handles the planning and costing of all stages of the project that arise from the quayside: from trans-shipment and interim storage to pre-assembly, maintenance and the required engineering services. The port projects logistics supplier provides this portfolio of services at its own terminals, which are equipped with special heavy cargo equipment and a modern IT infrastructure, and at external terminals. Its portfolio of services also includes consulting. Buss Offshore Solutions also acts as an external consultant to its international clients.
“After some ten successfully completed major projects, we know the challenges within the offshore, on-shore and gas/oil industry extremely well. It is crucial for the on-schedule implementation of all project stages that all of the project partners involved take care of what they’re best at. At Buss Offshore Solutions, as an interface between plant manufacturers and plant operators, we have specialised in all of the activities that need to be carried out up until the actual setup in the base port: the consolidation and provision of components for energy systems such as wind farms or pipelines”, continued Schulz.
Buss Offshore Solutions will have its first public appearance under the new brand at this year’s Offshore Wind Energy in London. As part of the joint stand with the Wind Energy Network, Martin Schulz and his team will be presenting the company’s portfolio of services in Hall N at Stand P 40. The new website has already gone live and can be visited at www.buss-offshore-solutions.com. Alongside a new design, it offers a comprehensive summary of Buss Offshore Solutions, its portfolio of services, its offices and reference projects. Clients and partners who want to be kept regularly up to date on news from the company and the market can subscribe to the newly set up e-mail newsletter.
