New Brand Marks Wind of Change for Chillwind

he UK’s leading meteorological mast supply company, Chillwind, has unveiled a new brand identity to reflect its integration into the Dulas group of companies.

Chillwind was acquired by Dulas in August 2012 and the new brand identity symbolises the coming together of these two groups of wind monitoring experts. With their combined expertise, Chillwind continues to lead the wind monitoring sector in the UK thanks to a broad range of wind monitoring solutions which include monopole and lattice met masts and remote sensing technology to cover all types of wind farm site.

The breadth of experience created by the partnership enables bankable, high quality wind datasets to be collected and delivered in a safe and efficient manner. With resources being deployed from one of three UK wide bases, clients benefit from increased responsiveness. Designed for simple installation, the uniquely lightweight design is particularly suited to harsh mountainous climates. The Chillwind mast system is a robust and innovative system that has proved popular with developers and wind farm operators across the country.

Chillwind now provide a number of additional services, including SecondWind’s Triton SoDAR rentals and sales, instrumentation services for onshore and offshore lattice towers and full bankable resource analysis.

Speaking of the partnership, Richard Tarves, managing director of Chillwind said: “Chillwind and Dulas have enjoyed a long and successful working relationship and we were delighted to formalise this partnership by becoming part of the Dulas group of companies last year. The rebrand is symbolic of the integration of the two teams, retaining both the Chillwind name and elements of the Dulas logo to recognise the pedigree of both companies.”
“Our unrivalled experience of wind monitoring in all terrains will support further growth in overseas operations, which already includes supply and installation of wind monitoring equipment across three continents.”
As part of the new brand identity, Chillwind’s stated aim of providing “first class wind monitoring” will be introduced as the company strapline.

Sanjay Bowry, chief executive officer at Dulas said: “Dulas has a long and successful relationship with Chillwind and we are excited to have further strengthened this partnership through the acquisition. The integrating of products and services from both companies further strengthens our wind monitoring offering and demonstrates our commitment to expanding our wind division in response to growing demand for wind power solutions across the UK and Europe in line with client requirements.”
