Mounting Systems continues to conquer the world

Rangsdorf / Milton Keynes, 2 March 2012 Mounting Systems GmbH, one of the leading global manufacturers for solar mounting systems, is to establish another international representation office, this time in Milton Keynes, UK. The new office is scheduled to open its doors to the public on 5 March 2012. In this way, the company continues to expand its international business – following the production site in West Sacramento, USA and the representation office in Lyon, France.

Mounting Systems enjoys a sound knowledge of the British market. The company has been trading successfully on the island for several years and can draw on its experience collected over the past 19 years. Mounting Systems intends to press ahead with its plans for international expansion and intends to establish additional international representation offices in solar growth markets.

An advantage – close to the customer With its representation office in Milton Keynes, Mounting Systems takes advantage of an easily accessible location in the south-east of England, a proven centre of international economic activity. Julian Möller, Senior Manager Sales UK, is responsible for setting up the new office in Fairbourne Drive, Atterbury Lake.

“We are delighted to further improve our customer’s service and provide specialist advice throughout the UK and Ireland,” says Julian Möller.

Proximity to customers is more important now than ever. Of this, we are convinced. This step will further strengthen our business relationships in the UK market.”

Milton Keynes is situated between London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge. An optimum link to all of our customers is ensured thanks to its easily accessible location, whether by train, by car via the M5 motorway or by aeroplane from the most important airports in the surrounding area. For instance, the capital, London, is just a 35-minute train ride away.

The UK PV market In 2010, the UK introduced the feed-in-tariff to accelerate investment in renewable energy technologies. Thus far, the market for photovoltaic systems has been booming. Still targets remain ambitious: The UK government intends to install a total of 22 gigawatts by 2020. “The UK currently has good conditions for the photovoltaic industry and is an attractive market. It is our objective to aid the UK government to achieve its declared targets as quickly as possible. The fact that local players are prepared to work hard here adds impetus to this trend,” says Helge Tost. At Mounting Systems, UK customer sales have soared over the past few years. The company is confident of being able to build on this success in 2012.
