Mercom Capital Group, has today ranked Adani Group as the #1 global solar power developer in the world. Adani’s renewable energy portfolio exceeds the total capacity installed by the entire United States solar
industry in 2019 and will displace over 1.4 billion tons of carbon dioxide over the life of its assets.
For the top 10 global solar developers, the Asia-Pacific region made up 52.4% of developers’ total capacity, followed by the Americas at 42.1% and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at 5.5%.
In March 2020, Adani partnered with TOTAL Solar Singapore to set up a joint venture in Singapore which will house about 2.1GW of operating solar power projects. Singapore is now Adani’s strategic base for activities in infrastructure,
energy and logistics projects in the ASEAN region which is expected to see a 23% increase in the renewable energy capacity by 2025.
