Frankfurt am Main, 9.12.2024 – LONGi Solar, a globally leading solar technology company, and KENO Group, a leader in the distribution of innovative photovoltaic solutions in Europe, have entered a strategic partnership on the supply of LONGi’s latest back contact series to Central and Easter European countries (CEE). The collaboration will comprise LONGi’s new Hi-MO X10 solar panels featuring the proprietary next generation and greatly enhanced HPBC 2.0 technology – Hybrid Passivated Back Contact. The Hi-MO X10 was launched globally in October 2024 and will be phased in Europe starting in Q1. KENO plans to integrate it into their portfolio in H2 2025. The partnership also includes the Hi-MO X6 Max series, the successor to LONGi’s hero back contact product, Hi-MO X6. It uses the new M11 wafer with TaiRay Inside technology and, as a Max version, has an increased power output of up to 615 watts.
The cooperation will be a driver for the photovoltaic market in Central and Eastern Europe addressing the evolving needs of end customers in the region. The letter of intent includes three main pillars of cooperation: the supply of market-leading solar products, comprehensive technical support, and joint marketing efforts. LONGi’s back contact solar modules will complement KENO’s product portfolio with high-end photovoltaic panels that offer high performance and reliability to customers in KENO’s region.
Adrian Kocan, General Manager for Eastern Europe at LONGi, said: “A key element of the partnership with KENO is our training program, technical documentation and ongoing support. We want to ensure that the KENO Group has the necessary knowledge and resources to provide excellent service and products to its customers, being both installers and investors.”
Wojciech Babski, Vice President at KENO, commented: “Signing this letter of intent is another step for us in building a partnership that is already delivering tangible benefits to our customers and the entire industry. Thanks to our cooperation with LONGi, we provide solutions that raise technological standards and meet the growing demand for modern photovoltaic technologies. Our goal is to continue strengthening this relationship in order to jointly set trends in the renewable energy market.”
Hi-MO X10 – Introducing the next generation of solar modules into the CEE market
One of the pillars of the cooperation is the introduction of LONGi’s state-of-the-art Hi-MO X10 series, which utilizes LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 technology. The module sets a new performance benchmark with a 670W power output, 24.8% module efficiency, and 26.6% cell efficiency. It outperforms conventional TOPCon modules by 30W.
The module is equipped with LONGi’s new proprietary n-type TaiRay wafer and Bipolar Hybrid Passivation Technology which brings significant improvements in efficiency, mechanical characteristics and reliability. In addition, it comes with 0BB-structure (zero-busbar), a multi-layer design for increased performance, as well as a shading optimizer technology that reduces the loss of power output by 70% compared to TOPcon modules.

About LONGi and LONGi Solar
LONGi Solar is one of the world’s largest solar technology companies. It is a subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy Technology (LONGi), which was founded in 2000. LONGi has more than 60,000 employees, 30+ locations and 30 manufacturing sites globally. LONGi Europe is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The company has established five business sectors, covering mono silicon, wafers, cells and modules, commercial and industrial as well as residential distributed solar solutions, green energy solutions and hydrogen equipment to support the development of zero-carbon energy globally.
Since 2021, LONGi has broken the photovoltaic (PV) cell conversion efficiency record 18 times in a row. Currently the company is holding two efficiency world records, both officially confirmed in 2024: 34.6% for crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells, and 27.30% for crystalline silicon Heterojunction Back Contact (HBC) solar cells. LONGi is the first Chinese solar manufacturer to join the three distinguished climate initiatives RE100, EP100 and EV100. Under the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), LONGi has set a 2030 emission reduction target aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 60 percent across its operations and productions compared to 2020 levels.
