Joint Forces for Solar: The Future of the American Market.


On 10th July 2013, Joint Forces for Solar would like to invite visitors of the Intersolar North America trade fair and conference to take part in a networking event. In a series of expert’s speeches and discussion rounds, the event aims to examine the potentials of the American solar market and to highlight and discuss current market developments and technological trends. Participation in the event is free of charge to visitors and exhibitors at the trade fair.

Bonn, Germany/San Francisco, CA. Joint Forces for Solar will be presenting the “11th PV Briefing & Networking Forum USA” as part of the official accompanying program of Intersolar North America. The event aims to discuss the development and potentials of the local markets in as much detail as possible with market participants, experts and installers. The event begins on 10th July 2013 at 14:30 on

the Innovation & Application Stage of the Moscone Center on level 3, booth #9659. This year, the forum will once again have a regional focus on the markets of the US-American west coast. Daniela Schreiber, executive vice president of HRCC USA / EuPD Research will be examining current market dynamics, price structures and the development of sales channels in the USA. She will also be providing an overview of the current positioning of various market players and a prediction of market development based on the latest forecasts.

Bret Young, director of sales at Samil Power US Ltd. will then be focusing on technical developments and examining the potentials of solar inverters. These topics will then be covered in depth in the two subsequent panel discussions. The future of the solar industry and the possible applications of new storage technologies will be the subject of the industry panel with Bret Young; Matthias Altieri, Head of Origination & Construction, Thomas Lloyd Group PLC; Thomas Koerner, General Manager US, Canadian Solar Inc. and Mark Abrams, Director of Product Management, Enphase Energy. The panel will be moderated by Daniela Schreiber, Executive Vice President of HRCC USA / EuPD Research.

The political discussion round will include Lee J.V. Feliciano, Board Member, AriSEIA; Leslie Cole-Brooks, Executive Director, Hawaii Solar Energy Association; Lyle Rawlings, Vice President, Mid-Atlantic SEIA; Steve Johnson, Board Member, TenneSEIA and Tom Thompson, President, Solar Energy Business Association of New England. The panel will be moderated by the Californian Solar Energy Industries Association.
