IPVEA and EU PVSEC Present Programme for PV Production Forum 2011

The programme of the PV Production Forum 2011 taking place during the 26th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (26th EU PVSEC) on Tuesday, September 6 in Hamburg, Germany, is now online. For the second time, the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) and the EU PVSEC jointly present this forum that focuses on the industrial production of solar cells and modules. It will be led by IPVEA members and other industry experts from manufacturers and suppliers of PV fabrication equipment and related raw materials.

The EU PVSEC is established as the worldwide leading PV solar conference with a strong focus on science and research and a large parallel international PV industry trade show. The PV Production Forum complements the conference and exhibition with the main focus on new silicon and thin-film production technologies.

This one-day forum addresses PV production managers, PV purchasing staff and product managers on how to increase throughput, efficiency, and saving money in the PV manufacturing industry along with an indispensable opportunity for networking across all segments of the PV production industry. With best practice examples and case studies, the participants will be updated about the changing dynamics, processes, and production technology steps in the PV manufacturing supply chain.

The morning Market Session will provide up-to-the-minute data on the present market conditions alongside insightful information directly from top level industry executives. The afternoon sessions will offer numerous presentations about cell and module production in two parallel sessions. In the Silicon Session, presentations will include optimized handling, automation, and tracking technologies in mass manufacturing of high-efficiency silicon cells. During the Thin-Film Session, topics such as coating, integration, and efficiency improvements on thin-film PV fabs will be shared by experts from the leading international companies of PV production.

Participation fee for the PV Production Forum 2011 is included in the Registration for the EU PVSEC Conference and in the Special One Day Admission for Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

A detailed overview on the programme of the PV Production Forum 2011 is attached to the end of this press release. For more information on the programme and to register for the PV Production Forum 2011, please visit www.IPVEA.org or the website of the 26th EU PVSEC www.photovoltaic-conference.com.
