Intersolar India Conference 2010

In 2010 the Intersolar India Conference will take place from December 13-15 at the Leela Kempinski Mumbai, one day prior to the exhibition Intersolar India which starts on the 14th of Dec – 16th Dec at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Intersolar expects up to 700 attendees from around the world to attend the comprehensive conference tracks.

In January 2010, the Indian government launched the ambitious Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission designed to facilitate the combined deployment of 20 Gigawatts (GW) by 2022. In addition to India’s National Solar Mission, more than 8 states e.g. Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, West Bengal, etc. have introduced support policies based on Feed-in-Tariffs and other incentives, in order to actively promote the deployment of solar applications. The govt. of Gujarat aims to have 350 MW installed by 2011 offering a feed-in-tariff of USD 0.30/kWh and USD 0.10/kWh for 12 and 13 years respectively. This venture provides ample opportunities and challenges for stakeholders such as manufacturers, entrepreneurs and financers. Against this background the Intersolar India Conference will take place from December 13-15 at the Leela Kempinski Mumbai, one day prior to the exhibition Intersolar India which starts on the 14th of Dec – 16th Dec at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
