The positive signs for the Indian solar industry are promising a particularly successful Intersolar India 2015
Mumbai/Pforzheim/Freiburg, November 09, 2015: With 200 exhibitors from all over the world, Intersolar India is already fully booked: An impressive sign for the Indian solar industry, which is expected to move up to fourth place among the world’s top solar markets in 2016, following a projected 4-6 GW (gigawatts) of additional output. Mumbai expects 9,500 visitors from November 18-20, 2015. The exhibition and the concurrent conference provide a platform for companies, investors, institutes and political representatives to share views and information about the challenges of India’s energy supply.
Prospects for India’s solar industry are sunny. The government plans to add an additional photovoltaics output of 100 GW by 2022. This endeavor also enjoys German support: Low-interest loans worth one billion euros have been provided to support the expansion of photovoltaics in India. Intersolar India is the perfect launch pad for achieving the country’s ambitious climate targets by bringing together companies, research institutions and investors to overcome the subcontinent’s challenges. The exhibition space is already fully booked, with a waiting list.
Conference builds on key issues for India’s solar expansion
