Innovative aleo modules in demand at Intersolar

Innovative modules from aleo solar in demand at Intersolar

Oldenburg, Prenzlau, 26 June 2013. Module manufacturer and system provider aleo solar AG today announced that it experienced record-breaking interest at Intersolar 2013. Despite a drop in visitor numbers at the event overall, aleo solar’s innovative solar modules, services and system solutions excited strong interest from industry delegates. Titling its exhibition “Experience Energy”, aleo solar’s booth was one of the top ten at the trade show, as rated by the independent agency BMB in terms of the booth’s distinctiveness, brand recognition, organisation and consulting quality. Contact with more than 600 installers was achieved and around five megawatts of aleo modules were sold in all.

In terms of new products, the focus was on the 290 watt module with an energy conversion efficiency of 17.6%. With this monocrystalline high efficiency module, aleo is entering the photovoltaic market’s premium performance segment. The photovoltaic hybrid module (photovoltaic/solar thermal) also excited a lot of interest, as did the aleo laminates and the frameless glass/glass module, usable as a roof tile surrogate, a sun blind, window or partition. As a durable, translucent lightweight with a mere two millimetres of glass on its front and reverse, there are many ways in which the glass/glass module can be integrated structurally. The universal mounting system SOL-50 also attracted strong interest at aleo’s booth. This subframe system made by SEN is designed to fit a wide range of roof types. Once fitted, it ensures the rapid installation of aleo modules. Requiring no clamping, the system’s clear-cut lines give the generator array a homogeneous look-and-feel.

One recurrent topic was aleo solar’s solid performance in the “stress test” run by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE as part of the PV Durability Initiative. During this extensive test series, which approximates the stresses experienced by a solar module in its lifetime, the output of the aleo modules remained impressively stable. The modules also sailed through the electrical safety testing.

Alongside the modules, energy storage solutions were another hot topic this year: aleo solar offers user-friendly, easy to install storage systems that enable households and small businesses to achieve a high degree of self-suffiency with solar power. The Bosch PowerTec VS 5 Hybrid and the S10 from E3/DC also satisfy the KfW funding criteria for a low-interest loan and repayment bonus. For retrofitting to small, pre-installed PV systems, Akasol’s neeoqube solution offers a ground-breaking modular lithium-ion energy storage system that also qualify for the maximum subsidy. The growing significance of self-consumption in the German photovoltaic market was also reflected in the appeal of aleo’s Profit Advisor. The application’s interactive simulation enables a professional approach to profitability calculations for self-consumption and storage systems. Many of the installers attending Intersolar registered for a training session in the software at the aleo academy.
