HUSUM | Hamburg, 17 December 2018: Following WindEnergy Hamburg, the industry is now looking expectantly towards Husum, where HUSUM Wind, the leading national wind trade fair will be held from 10 to 13 September 2019. 2019 represents a turning point in that the following year marks the end of the EEG subsidies for the first wind turbines, and also in that the industry is expecting an improved market situation once again that will start in 2020. When the who’s who of the industry come together in Germany’s model region for wind power, they will be comparing notes on current trends and solutions for the energy transition, while the agenda will also include discussion of the political environment.
HUSUM Wind, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2019, has always been closely oriented on developments in the industry and tackles topics that are of particular importance to the German market. These include future post-EEG solutions such as continued use, repowering or dismantling and recycling of wind turbines. Leading suppliers from these sectors will be presenting their innovative concepts and services for the phase after 2020. “We will however still be providing a platform for such subjects as Power-to-X, energy storage, digitalisation and big data. In the model region, today it is already possible to see the potential of the tomorrow’s wind power. In Husum the buses will soon be running on regionally generated hydrogen while research continues into additional alternative utilisation concepts”, says Arne Petersen, managing director of Messe Husum & Congress GmbH. “Here in Husum we think about the future of wind.”
The signals that HUSUM Wind is sending to the market are encountering positive responses. In the meantime about 90% of the exhibition space is sold out. Next September all the OEMs and market leaders from Germany and the neighbouring EU countries will once again be represented in Husum. The exhibition programme once again includes the forum for young, innovative enterprises and the Windcareer job fair for skilled personnel and industry entrants.
