The National Council for Financial Policy issued an agreement that has once more changed the industry’s future. The agreement will greatly improve the financial viability of photovoltaic systems outside the state of Minas Gerais. Now, in addition to the ability of generating energy themselves, electricity consumers have been given an extra incentive which guarantees a higher financial return on the system. By this means, self-generation now appears as an excellent investment.
“The Brazilian solar opportunity is only just getting started, but has the potential to be gigantic, in the order of tens of gigawatts by the middle of the next decade,” comments BNEF’s Michel Di Capua ( read more).
