New PERC technology and Asia-Pacific investment plans to be announced
SHANGHAI, CHINA- May 18, 2016- Heraeus Photovoltaics, the worldwide leading supplier of metallization solutions to the PV industry, will attend the 10th International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition (SNEC) from May 24-26. Heraeus will introduce its innovative new metallization products for PERC solar cell technology and provide details on its expanding focus on renewable energy. Additionally, Heraeus will celebrate the opening of its new Photovoltaic APAC Technology Development Centre as part of its strategic expansion plans for China and Asian markets.
China’s recently-inaugurated 13th Five-Year Plan is projected to provide strong support to the country’s fast-growing renewable energy sector. Dr. Richard Zhang, President of Heraeus Greater China Regional Headquarters, noted that Heraeus, with its technical expertise and focus on innovation, is uniquely positioned to support this effort.
Heraeus, a key supplier for China’s photovoltaic industry, will continue backing the sector’s development with strong innovation and high quality products for superior solar cell performance. Heraeus will unveil two new products at SNEC 2016; SOL9631, a low-temperature front-side paste for PERC and ultra-fine line printing, and SOL326, a novel back-side silver tabbing paste enabling higher PERC solar cell efficiencies. These products, offered together as part of a “PERC Package,” have been especially formulated by Heraeus to help customers reduce costs and achieve efficiency gains to win in the market.
